My interests include women's health and paediatrics.

Martin has been a GP for over 30 years and has been a partner at Windmill Surgery for the last 4½ years.

Unfortunately, Martin is currently off work on long term sick leave.

I graduated from Leeds in 1991 before moving to Norfolk in 1994 to complete my GP training. I have worked at the surgery since 2009 on a part time basis. I enjoy working in a small practice as it enables me to get to know the patients well and allows me to offer continuity of care to my patients.

My interests are women's health, paediatrics and orthopaedics.  I am married to a local farmer and hve two young children to keep me busy when I am not at work. I enjoy the countryside, cooking and gardening.

Our nurse team has developed to take on more aspects of healthcare traditionally looked after by our doctors. Our reception team will assist you with your appointment booking to help identify who will be most appropriate to see you.

Lead Nurse

I have worked at the Windmill Surgery since 2002 and have been lead nurse since 2008. 

I cover all aspects of the job with a particular interest in Asthma and Womens Health.

I have 3 children, one in her final year at university and the other two are at college and school.  Outside of work, I enjoy walking my 2 dogs, eating out, gardening and music.

Nurse

I have been a practice nurse for over 20 years and having been working at Windmill Surgery since 2010. I enjoy working in a friendly environment.

I have one daughter at University and enjoy walking my cocker spaniel dog, gardening and singing in the choir. I also enjoy the theatre and eating out.

Nurse

I have worked here since September 2010 and work part time as I am a mother of 2 small children.  I cover all treatment room duties and specialise in the area of Cardiovascular disease and am currently training to extend that into the field of diabetes, as the two are closely related.

Healthcare Assistant

I view my role as a supplement to the nurses. I undertake phlebotomy, ear washes, new patient health checks, ECGs and dressings.

Healthcare Assistant

I have worked at the surgery as a Healthcare Assistant since June 2011 but have worked in phlebotomy for over 4 years.

I enjoy the variety of my job role and seeing patients, whether they are new or regular visitors.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the cinema and any activities with my young daughter.

Practice Manager

I was born and brought up in London and moved to Norfolk with my family in 1987.  I have worked in the financial services industry since I left school and became a Practice Manager in 2008.

Outside of the practice I have a passion for the preservation of the countryside and its wildlife.  I have 3 Weimaraners that keep me busy and I enjoy taking them to agility every week.

Practice Co-ordinator

I joined the surgery in January 2011 and have trained in the secretarial, receptionist and administrator roles. I provide support to the Practice Manager, in the day to day running of the reception team and love the variety and challenge this brings. 

Outside of work, I love spending time with my 2 springer spaniels and doing anything that keeps me active.

Summariser

I joined Windmill Surgery in September 2009 as a Medical Notes Summariser and Data Input Administrator. I also help to cover reception which brings me into contact with patients. I very much enjoy the responsibility and satisfaction involved in tackling a worthwhile part of an efficiently run Practice.

Away from work, my interests include singing, gardening, dancing and the never ending efforts to keep fit, including walking.  I have three sons and five grandchildren which involves a very active family life!

Typist / Receptionist

My name is Emily and I have been working at the Windmill Surgery since the end of August 2011. I have been working mostly on reception but I'm hoping to move into the secretarial role which involves typing the referral letters.  What I like most about my job is the variety of tasks I do and no two days are the same.

My main hobbies outside of work are photography, drawing, reading and ice skating.

Receptionist

I have worked at the Windmill Surgery as a receptionist since 2007. 

I enjoy the job, dealing with the patients, and the variety of jobs that being a receptionist brings. No two days are the same.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, walking in the countryside and travelling. I also enjoy tai chi.

Receptionist

I have been a member of the Windmill Surgery reception team since December 2004. My role involves a great variety of administrative duties, including secretarial support. I thoroughly enjoy my work, especially the contact with people and providing a personal service to our patients.

Outside of work, my interests include golf, cooking and spending time with friends.

Receptionist

I have worked part time at the Surgery since 2010.

Previously, I worked in the NHS for 25 years as dental nurse, and a receptionist for a GP surgery for 10 years.

I love caring for my six grandchildren and enjoy music, walking and baking.

Receptionist

I recently joined the Surgery in September 2011 and I am currently being trained in all of the receptionist duties.  I provide support to other receptionists and am very keen to learn new skills so I can expand my role.

Outside of work, I enjoy meeting up with friends and family, and watching films.

As a dispensing practice, some patients can arrange to collect their medication in the surgery. We can't offer this service to everyone due to national guidelines, but please ask the team if you qualify for this quick and easy option.

NPA Dispensing Technician

I have worked at the Surgery since August 2007 as Dispensary Lead. I only work part time as I have a young family.

Before joining the Windmill Surgery, I worked in serveral retail pharmacies where I gained my qualifications as a NPA Pharmacy Technician, and since 2009 I have been a registered technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

We are an expanding and very busy dispensary and both myself and Dee work very closely as a team.

Dispenser

I have been employed by the Windmill Surgery since December 2007.  I work as part of the Dispensary Team, alongisde Lindsay, our Lead Dispenser.

I was awarded an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services in September 2009, following completion of the Buttercups Dispensing Assistant Course for Dispensing Doctors.

My work at the surgery also involves some reception duties.
