Out of Hours
The ‘Out of Hours’ care for our patients is provided by Anglian Medical Care. Telephone the usual surgery number or 01603 488488.

A Clinician from AMC will telephone you to give advice,arrange for you to visit a clinic or have a home visit, depending on the situation.

Home Visits
Please request visits only if it is really impossible to get to the Surgery. Requests for Home Visits should be made wherever possible between 9.00am and 10.30am.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery to cancel your appointment.

As a family orientated surgery, our 3 doctors believe in continuity of care and in treating the whole person. We treat several generations of the some families, from babies to grandparents.  We try to ensure patients see the doctor of their choice whenever possible.

I have worked as a GP for over 30 years, and have been a partner and lead GP at Windmill Surgery for last 7 years.

My interests include women's health and paediatrics.

Dr Martin Gillings

Martin has been a GP for over 30 years and has been a partner at Windmill Surgery for the last 4½ years.

Unfortunately, Martin is currently off work on long term sick leave.

Dr Rebecca Thornton

I graduated from Leeds in 1991 before moving to Norfolk in 1994 to complete my GP training. I have worked at the surgery since 2009 on a part time basis. I enjoy working in a small practice as it enables me to get to know the patients well and allows me to offer continuity of care to my patients.

My interests are women's health, paediatrics and orthopaedics.  I am married to a local farmer and hve two young children to keep me busy when I am not at work. I enjoy the countryside, cooking and gardening.
