The ‘Out of Hours’ care for our patients is provided by Anglian Medical Care. Telephone the usual surgery number or 01603 488488.

A Clinician from AMC will telephone you to give advice,arrange for you to visit a clinic or have a home visit, depending on the situation.

Home Visits
Please request visits only if it is really impossible to get to the Surgery. Requests for Home Visits should be made wherever possible between 9.00am and 10.30am.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery to cancel your appointment.

Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. Please give at least 48 hours notice. You may order your prescription by phoning the dispensary on 01953 600255 or by handing in a repeat list at reception.

Monday and Wednesday 9.30-13.00
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.00-13.00

You may be asked to attend a Medication Review with the nurse or doctor from time to time to check that your medication needs have not changed

Dispensary

We can dispense medicines to any patient who lives over 1 mile from a chemist. Please ask the receptionist to check if you are eligible.

Confidentiality

For reasons of confidentiality and safety we strongly recommend that you collect your repeat prescription/medication in person. If this is not possible and you have given someone else permission to collect your prescription/medication on your behalf, please be aware that your full list of repeat medications will be included.

Proof of ID will be required when collecting prescriptions for controlled drugs.
